An ideal base to enjoy the Dales... and a retreat to enjoy “peace and tranquility” at any time of the year...
Stoneleigh is a typical Yorkshire Dales Cottage, circa 1650, situated in the village of Langthwaite which nestles amidst the impressive scenery of the unspoiled Arkengarthdale.
Based in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, an area of outstanding beauty, Langthwaite is the picture post card village of the Dales. An ideal centre for couples or families to discover varied walks from Stoneleigh’s doorstep. Activties such as horse riding, cycling/mountain biking (www.dalescycles.co.uk) are offered in Arkengarthdale or Swaledale. Nearby is the Red Lion Inn (www.redlionlangthwaite.co.uk). This small country Inn, and Langthwaite village, has appeared in the popular TV Series “All Creatures Great and Small.” The Red Lion is open from 11 a.m. – 3.00 p.m. and 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. everyday and serves bar snacks and locally brewed Black Sheep Bitter and Riggwelter. The C.B. Inn with it’s highly regarded and very popular restaurant is in walking distance, approximately half a mile.

Stoneleigh Cottage offers an ideal central location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Swaledale, Wensleydale, Teesdale and Cumbria. The bustling market towns of Leyburn and Hawes are in easy reach and a trip over Butter Tubs Pass is one to remember. Barnard Castle is reached by the A1 and well worth a visit is Raby Castle at nearby Staindrop (www.rabycastle.com)
This cosy character cottage is just three miles from Reeth which is set around it’s own village green offering a bakery, souvenir shops, post office, grocery store, garage, picture gallery, ice cream parlour, pottery, tea rooms, pubs and hotels. Langthwaite is approximately 12 miles from the ancient market town of Richmond which is steeped in history and boasts an 11th Century Norman Castle, Georgian Theatre, swimming pool, cinema, shops, pubs and restaurants.
Stoneleigh and the surrounding area offers a warm welcome to visitors and families with children as there are a large variety of activities and attractions on offer throughout the year.

- Washing machine, iron, ironing board and hair dryer provided.
- Friday changeover.

Lounge/dining area with multi fuel stove, flat screen colour TV with Freesat, video, DVD player, radio, CD player and telephone for incoming calls only.
Kitchen
Recently fitted modern galley style kitchen with double electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave and fridge/freezer.
First Floor
Bedroom 1 with double bed and Bedroom 2 with twin beds.
Shower room
With double shower cubicle, W.C. and basin with range of fitted cupboards housing a washing machine.
Facilities
- Heated by electric night storage heaters.
- Small paved area to the front with bench seating and planted area.
- Parking spaces 20 yards from the cottage on a first come first served basis with car park 200 yards away.
- Sorry, no smoking in the property please.

Cottage rental prices
The rates shown in the following table are the all-inclusive price for the rental of the cottage per week (Friday to Friday). Please be aware that prices could alter without notice. You'll be glad to know that we do not charge a booking fee!

Short Breaks (SB)
Short Breaks are sometimes offered for 3 nights. These are usually Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but days are flexible, so please do contact us to see if your request can be accommodated! You'll be glad to know that we do not charge a booking fee! Short Break rates are as shown in the following table:
