A well established holiday favourite - recently refurbished!
Situated in beautiful Swaledale in the Yorkshire Dales, with plently of local attractions and services. Only 1.5 miles to Gunnerside, with the local Kings Head pub, Bistro, and Blacksmith Museum. A similar distance in the other direction is Low Row, with the wonderful Punch Bowl Inn, and onwards to Reeth with a wealth of local shops, restuarant and pubs. The cottage is attached to Strands Farmhouse, with wonderful views.

Accommodation and facilities
The cottage has recently been fully refurbished. All electricity and initial supply of fuel for the wood-burning stove in the sitting room are included in the rental.
Ground Floor
The sitting room provides a relaxing environment when you return from a day out walking or touring the Yorkshire Dales, with multi fuel stove (initial basket of logs supplied), wall-mounted flatscreen TV with Sky, and dining area.
Kitchen
The new well-equipped kitchen includes ceramic hob/oven, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge with freezer compartment.
First Floor
Double bedroom provides a king-sized bed, wardrobe, and external door leading to fine views of the river Swale and surrounding landscape. External balcony and staircase with new iron work leading to drive.
En-suite
The new en-suite showerroom comprises shower, wash-hand basin and WC.
Views of Swaledale outside
- Small garden with table and chairs (about 5 metres across drive through wrought iron gate).
- Private parking.
- Towels and bed linen provided.

Please note: the rates shown below are the all-inclusive price for the rental of the cottage per week (Saturday to Saturday) except Short Breaks. These prices can change without warning. You'll be glad to know that we do not charge a booking fee!

Short Breaks (SB)
Short Breaks are sometimes offered for 3 nights. These are usually Saturday, Sunday and Monday but days are flexible, so please do contact us to see if your request can be accommodated! You'll be glad to know that we do not charge a booking fee! Short Break rates are as shown in the following table:
