Self catering holiday cottage for 2 people in Muker situated within the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
Ideal village location
Muker derives it's origins as a Norse settlement, and is situated at the meeting point of the River Swale and the Straw Beck. The village used to be a centre for lead mining, but nowadays is better known for it's excellent location for walking and outdoor activities, being well catered for with a village shop, local pub (the Farmers Arms), post office, craft shop and cafe. The Farmers Arms is convieniently situated along a short path from Lilac Cottage.
Lilac Cottage is a cosy one-bedroomed traditional dales cottage offering self-catering accomodation in the centre of Muker. The cottage has been lovingly and tastefully restored and furnished with antiques, and is convieniently situated above the main village amenities. The south-facing cottage nestles in a tranquil location with spectacular views over Swaledale and to the Buttertubs Pass in the west.
The house features many traditional local items such as clippy rugs and local pictures.

Ground Floor
The open plan downstairs consists of a living area with stone flagged floor, inglenook fireplace and beehole oven, dining and kitchen areas. The stone staircase leads up to the first floor.
Kitchen
The fitted kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, microwave and washing machine.
Living Room
The living room has an open inglenook fireplace, a colour TV and DVD. The dining table is ideally positioned to allow enjoyment of the outstanding views across Muker to Swaledale and the fells.
First Floor
The first floor has a bedroom and a bathroom.
Bedroom
The bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, and wonderful views from the front of the property across Swaledale.
Bathroom
The tiled bathroom has a bath with shower over, w.c., hand basin, and views across the fields.
Garden
Outside is lovely and colourful garden with uninterrupted views of the fells overlooking the village, complete with garden furniture it's a great place to relax after a tiring day.
