Ideal village location
Leeside Cottage is ideally located in the delightful village of Reeth, Swaledale, approx. 10 miles from Richmond. It is easy to enjoy a number of outdoor activities in Swaledale, from walking to mountain biking (e.g. Dales Cycle Centre in nearby Fremington). Swaledale is the most northerly dale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Reeth has a number of pubs and restuarants for that special meal, shops, post office, bakery, ice cream parlour, tea rooms, photo gallery and a weekly farmers market.
The ancient market town of Richmond is within easy reach, steeped in history and boasts an 11th Century Norman Castle, Georgian Theatre, swimming pool, cinema, shops, pubs and restaurants. Leyburn is also near by with a further variety of shops, and other local attractions.
Reeth and the surrounding area offers a warm welcome to visitors and families with children as there are a large variety of activities and attractions on offer throughout the year.

Accomodation
We want you to feel at home during your stay at Leeside. The property is decorated to a high standard and comfortably furnished. The accommodation is convienently arranged all on one level - please note that it is necessary to use steps to access the cottage. The cottage is heated by night storage heaters. Additional electric halogen heating is also available. A high-chair is provided for our younger guests and a travel cot is available on request.
Kitchen
The kitchen provides all that is required, including electric oven with electric hob, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment.
Living Room
A comfortable open plan lounge and dining room provides an ideal place to relax after a long day exploring Yorkshires most beautiful Dale. An initial supply of logs will be provided in winter for a cosy fire in the stone fireplace. The room has Sky tv, DVD player and a selection of books.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom has a double wrought iron bed, accompanied by pine bedside tables, dressing table and mirror, integral double wardrobe and extensive drawer storage.
Second Bedroom
The second bedroom has a bunk bed and also provides a small wardrobe with drawers.
Bathroom
The bathroom has a bath with shower over, w.c. and hand basin.
Garden
For those that enjoy relaxing outdoors there is a beautiful secluded south facing garden and even a balcony with far reaching views over Grinton Moor and the Dale. For those warmer days and evenings a portable charcoal barbeque and garden furniture, for dining and relaxing in the garden, are provided.
Garage
An automatic washing machine is located in the integral garage below, which also offers secure storage for bikes and kayaks etc.
Easy access to Swaledale
- One well behaved pet is allowed (not on the furniture please).
- There is a pay phone in the cottage should you wish to dial out.
- Sorry, the cottage is no smoking.
- Private parking by the property, accessed via a short inclined private drive.
- Please note that it is necessary to use steps to access the cottage. We therefore regret that Leeside it is not suitable for wheelchair users.

Short Breaks (SB)
Short Breaks are sometimes offered for 3 nights. These are usually Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but days are flexible, so please do contact us to see if your request can be accommodated! You'll be glad to know that we do not charge a booking fee! Short Break rates are as shown in the following table:
