Self catering holiday cottage for 5/6 people in Reeth in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Ideal village location 

Bank House is ideally located in the delightful village of Reeth, Swaledale, just 10 miles from Richmond.  It is easy to enjoy a number of outdoor activities in Swaledale, from walking to mountain biking (e.g. Dales Cycle Centre in nearby Fremington).  Swaledale is the most northerly dale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.  Reeth has a number of pubs and restuarants for that special meal, shops, post office, bakery, ice cream parlour, tea rooms, photo gallery and a weekly farmers market.

The ancient market town of Richmond is within easy reach, steeped in history and boasts an 11th Century Norman Castle, Georgian Theatre, swimming pool, cinema, shops, pubs and restaurants. Leyburn is also near by with a further variety of shops, and other local attractions.

Reeth and the surrounding area offers a warm welcome to visitors and families with children as there are a large variety of activities and attractions on offer throughout the year.

Ground Floor

Entry to Bank House is via the entrance porch to the entrance hallway with aesthetic Victorian style tiles.  Off the hall is the kitchen and sitting room.  The dining room can be reached from either the kitchen or the living room.

Kitchen

The kitchen has a typical Dales black range (sadly not working), and has recently been refurbished.  A well equipped kitchen with island unit, and includes electric oven, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster.

Larder/Pantry

Walk in larder/pantry where utility items are stored, such as washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Dining Room

The dining room is situated off of the kitchen and living room.  Views to the front of the property with an electric fire, dining table, chairs and dresser.

Living Room

The living room has an open fire with initial basket of logs supplied, the room is further equipped with a colour TV/DVD, Radio/CD player and a selection of books and games.

First Floor

The first floor consists of 3 bedrooms.

Bedrooms

Bedroom 1 has a king size bed and basin, bedroom 2 has 2 single beds, and bedroom 3 has a single bed with a pull out guest bed.

Bathroom

The spacious bathroom consists of a roll top bath, separate shower cubicle, WC and basin.

Garden Room

At the rear of the property is access to the delightful garden room which allows additional seating around the warm wood burning stove.  There is also a downstairs shower and WC.

Garden

As you step out of the Garden Room (also accessed from the main house hallway rear door) the secluded courtyard is a great place to sit when the weather is fine and to enjoy the barbeque! Patio furniture is provided.  Initial supply of logs is supplied.
