The Black Bull, Reeth
Receive a warm Yorkshire welcome at one of Reeth’s most popular pubs and one of, if not the oldest Inns in Reeth, The Black Bull. The Black Bull has a central location, right on Reeth’s picturesque village green, making it one of the village hot spots for both tourists and many locals.
The Black Bull gets particularly busy of an evening as features some cask ale favourites on the bar from the local brewery’s, Black Sheep and Theakstons. There are also a number of lagers, wines and spirits to choose from.
You can eat a hearty Yorkshire meal at a very reasonably price, main meals are priced around £8.00 - £9.00 and in our opinion very tasty!

The Punch Bowl, Low Row
The Punch Bowl is a fantastic country pub with fantastic views across Swaledale. The Punch Bowl is what you would expect from a traditional Yorkshire pub, the exterior is unfussy, with a lovely light and airy feel inside, and it has recently been refurbished to a very tasteful and high standard. There is a beer garden at the front with panoramic views which is perfect, and very popular for those passing by on bike or foot!
The Punch Bowl is in our experience more of a restaurant, renowned for its excellence in food opposed to your typical boozer. Like we say the food is very nice but you would tend to pay a little bit more than other pubs in the area, but is very worth it.
- Lunch: 12pm – 2
- Dinner: 6pm – 9pm
