Swaledale and its surrounding areas are packed with things to see and do. You could easily spend a week or two relaxing without straying further than the Swaledale valley. If you've been watching the BBC programme Wainwright's Walks and admiring the stunning scenery and local villages, you'll be pleased to know that Holiday Home Yorkshire's cottages are in the heart of some of the areas shown in the programme.

Swaledale became famous when its winding roads and quiet villages were used in the hit BBC TV series, All Creatures Great And Small. The programme, about a veterinary practice in Yorkshire, ran from the late 70's, during the 80's and had its final show in 1990.
