The history of Reeth dates way back to the 18th Century, where it used to be the capital of the lead mining industry and a local centre for hand knitting, with a population of 1,460. However, the area has evolved into the centre of the beautiful farming community that we see today. At the heart of Reeth is a triangular green, surrounded by the local community, pubs, teas rooms, restaurant and gift shops. Beyond the immediate surrounds the village is overlooked by the stunning fells of Fremington Edge and Calver Hill which we can guarantee will provide a stunning backdrop to your visit. ...

The House and accommodation is high end but still dog friendly. well equipped in a lovely part of the Dales. Pubs and eateries on the door step all dog friendly which meant we all had a fantastic weekend break. looking forward to the next time.

  2. Clare

Greystones is the largest of four holiday cottages in a secluded area of Reeth adjacent to the river. With plenty of private parking and two separate outside seating areas overlooking the fields and the river it was the perfect location for our family.

This was our second visit to the Reeth holiday cottages and was just as great as first time! The cottage and the setting is perfect and the cottage is stunning, has everything we needed and more! Rose and David couldn’t do anymore to make it a relaxing few days and love their personal touches including the fresh hens eggs!
Will definitely be returning next year, thanks again!!

Reeth is an absolutely beautiful village. Greystones Cottage was what I expected an English cottage to be. It was sweet, comfortable, and had all that we wanted and needed.

We loved Greystones, it was so comfortable and cozy. We found the people of Reeth so friendly and welcoming, great places to eat,and a lovely village over all. From there it was easy to access all parts of Yorkshire.
Would go back again without hesitation.

We were very content here and felt the place was being well cared for. I hope to return within two years time and plan on renting one of the three cottages available. Recommend Tan Hill pub and a drive to Bolton Abby and beyond.

We enjoyed our short break in Reeth. Greystones suited our requirements. The owners were very friendly and left us a lovely welcome basket with fresh eggs and delicious cookies.

  12. Catherine

A characterful property in great location and very spacious for us and our dogs. The boiler stopped working one day but the owners sorted things for us immediately so we were kept warm and cosy and had hot water. We have happy memories of our short stay and would definitely stay there again.
