The Valley Gardens in Harrogate is a wonderful public park full of paths and beautiful flower beds that are bursting with colour. The gardens are open all year round and there is no entrance fee into the Valley Gardens despite it being an English Heritage Grade II listed garden.

Scarborough Castle is without a doubt one of Yorkshire’s finest English Heritage attractions and a great place to spend an afternoon.

Scarborough Castle is situated up a steep hill on the stunning Yorkshire coastline and can be viewed from almost everywhere in Scarborough. The steep trek to the top is well worth the effort as from the castle grounds there are wonderful views across the north and south bay.
