  1. Paul

Fantastic “cottage”, very spacious, very comfortable and in a really stunning location.

  2. Zoe

Gorgeous house in a beautiful village! Plenty walking options around and a great pub in the village for food and drinks. Parking wasn’t an issue as there is a carpark opposite the house (you have to pay) or as the description says, big lay-bys in the village you can use for free.

  3. Audrey

A beautiful house in a lovely little village in the spectacular setting of Swaledale. Very well-equipped kitchen, dining room with seats for 12 and a large upstairs lounge with plenty of room for us all. Cupboard full of games though we’d brought our own. Pristine white bed linen on good beds and plenty of soft towels. We enjoyed the local walks; up the hill, through the meadows to the river, to the church, the tea shop & the pub (fantastic food, nice people). Plenty of places to visit on our days out including Bolton Castle, Aysgarth Falls & Hardraw Force and the many pretty villages & towns. Thank you for a great family holiday. We would be very happy to return.

  4. Holly

We enjoyed our stay at Hannah’s place, lovely location 🙂

  5. Hannah

What a beautiful house in a stunning location! The house was well equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of space and rooms for a large family get together. Lots of places to visit nearby and a fab, friendly pub in the village. Thank you 😊

  6. Jonathan

Bridge House offers luxurious accommodation in a beautiful and peaceful location with easy access to amazing walks and breathtaking views. The house is accurately and well presented with every amenity you could require. Much thought has gone into the property. The linens are good quality and crisp. Sofas are deep and comfy. The dining table easily seats 12 people with ease. The kitchen is well equipped and the fridge is enormous. All is spotlessly clean. Garden is gorgeous and comes with regular visits from local rabbits. 10/10!

  7. Daniella

A beautiful house in a stunning location. Peace and quiet with fabulous walks straight from the door. Beds were comfortable and the house was spacious and clean. We all had a wonderful time.

  8. Clare

Another lovely stay in Bridge House, beautiful surroundings and a great place to visit. Hope to come again sometime soon.

  9. Helen

Used this lovely house as a base for our Herriot Way walk. Wonderful location, very spacious and so well equipped for us to self cater. Everything was as described and made we great use of the outside enclosed patio given the lovely evening sunshine. Couple of very minor issues were sorted really quickly. Thanks for a great stay

  10. Liz

What a great find. We needed a place that was big enough to accommodate all our family and this did not disappoint. Spacious rooms, fabulous garden and brilliant location. Everything you could possibly need for your stay was catered for. The house was spotlessly clean. We all loved it and looking forward to booking again for next year.

  11. Martin

Loads of room for a family gathering. Small garden , local pub and cafe are excellent

  12. Emily

This was a brilliant house for a family weekend away (8 adults and 4 children). The kitchen was very well equipped, it was comfortable with plenty of bathrooms (it took us a few hours to discover the bonus downstairs toilet through the utility room!). The location is amazing and we enjoyed exploring the surroundings, and being able to walk from the house. There is only parking space for one car but it was easy to park for free in the village. We arranged a Sainsbury’s delivery on our first night there which worked very well. I would recommend to others and would definitely stay again.

  13. Jeni

We stayed here for a family Christmas and it was magical! The house is beautiful and in a lovely location. It came with everything you’d need, was cosy warm, and plenty of space for everyone. We loved our time here and will definitely be back.

  14. Sarah

Fantastic stay with family, great location and beautiful house. Hannah was great, she helped us with the best directions to take when we were arriving in thick snow and even let us check in early so we could arrive in the daylight. Would highly recommend! Thank you Hannah

  15. Charlene

Our family of 11 had a wonderful stay at the Bridge House! It was well equipped with everything you could possibly need and plenty of space to house our large group! The location of the house was perfect for us and we enjoyed visiting the Tea shop and Muker Arms which were right on our doorstep! Would love to visit again

  16. Graham

Great place to stay, full of character

  17. Matt

Fantastic character property – beautifully furnished and clean throughout. Our group loved the house and the peaceful village location – one of the very best properties we’ve stayed at! Definitely will come and stay again.

  18. Clare

Fabulous place, it suited our needs very well and we had a great time. Thank you!

  19. Gayle

Great spot for a group looking for trails and tranquility! Well equipped to support large groups cooking and dining and comfortable beds for the rest you’ll need. Incredible surrounding scenery but limited local amenities – so stock up before arrival.

  20. Sophie

Lovely house in a lovely area. Slight downfall for us was the parking (although we were told in description).

  21. Henry

Lovely place, lovely views, beautiful scenery. The only slightly inconvenient the closest largish food shop is about 25mins drive away. Otherwise 10/10

  22. Ian

Wonderful house, very well equipped kitchen, big comfortable beds and crisp linen. Plenty of towels, hot water etc

  23. Angela

A great stay at bridge house. Had everything we needed for an excellent family weekend in the Dales – thank you!

  24. Anne-Marie

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. Had everything we needed for our birthday celebration and plenty of space to do it in. Bedrooms were spacious and clean along with the bathrooms. Kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. If visiting be aware the water is piping hot so caution if you have children! And don’t make the mistake of using the wrong bin as you will be verbally attacked by the not so friendly neighbour next door!! I would take extra loo roll too as we ran out. We had an amazing time here and it was a joy waking up to the sound of the brook flowing near the property and watching the birds feed their young in the bird box on the property. would love to go back in the future. Thanks for having us xx

  25. Tracy

Great location in beautiful countryside. House was perfect in size, for 10 of us to spend time together as a family. 3 children loved the lounge with wide screen tv and the garden which was enclosed. Wonderful day at Aysgarth falls walks and exploring with a picnic. Thanks Hannah for helpful information and easy booking and communication.

  26. Paula

Fabulous house with lots of internal space, gorgeous wooden furniture and had everything we needed. Lovely views over the river and dales. The village is quaint with lots of beautiful walks. Would definitely recommend it.

  27. Elaine

Very spacious beautiful location – stunning position – highly recommend the property – it was perfect for our family as we were going to a wedding in Bainbridge.

  28. Karen

We really couldn’t fault this property. We stayed for celebrations for a joint 60th and 90th Birthday. All equipment was available to feed 12 adults for 3 days. Being able to walk on various routes straight from the house was fantastic. We were treated to 3days of glorious weather and spent most of our time(mainly eating!) outside in the lovely garden. Gas BBQ a real bonus. We also had the incredible Arora on the Saturday night. Totally amazing place at very respectable price. Thank You

  29. Steve

The house is in a small village with beautiful views and lovely walks

  30. Pam

Lovely accommodation in stunning location. Plenty of space. Only minor disappointment was the local pub was shut due to landlord injury and refurbishment 🙁

  31. Dave

A truly, magical secret oasis in the middle of North Yorkshire, in a house that clearly best represents the idyllic break away from the busy in a way I can only be described once you’ve experienced it. Our family got together for the first time after a few yearsand we had a sensational time.

  32. Cameron

Fantastic weekend with friends in the beautiful Mukar! Thanks for allowing us to stay Hannah – would recommend very highly!

  33. Jason

Amazing stay here, we really hope we can come back again!

  34. Sue

This is a beautiful house which met the needs for our family of 11 for a birthday celebration. Because of the time of year the local pub was closed but we did visit both Tan Hill pub and The Kings Head which were not too far away. Lots of walks if the weather is good, unfortunately we stayed the weekend of Storm Isha so not able to take advantage. We did have a problem with hot water but the caretaker helped resolve it. We felt we would have benefited from an ‘information’ booklet as there were no instructions on how to use anything/ bins/ recycling etc. Think the log burners may need cleaning out as well! the house is so well equipped and we had a lovely time. Thank you

  35. Wull

Great stay Massive house Great for families to come together in Great walks to be had with or without dogs lol Will defo stay again

  36. Honor

Had a fantastic stay at Bridge house. Great space for our party of 12 in a beautiful location. Hannah was great with information for our stay would love to go back again highly recommended accommodation for a large group/family get together.

  37. Fi

We had a lovely weekend in this beautiful old shooting lodge. A large, warm house in Muker surrounded by the Yorkshire dales, and mainly sheep and waterfalls. We enjoyed walking, pubs, and had great fun at Bolton castle in Leyburn (half hour drive). Great for kids with boar, dungeons, weapons, archery, birds of prey display, witch trial and more. The house is really well equipped and spacious enough for three families cohabiting without getting on top of one another. The abundance of bathrooms is brilliant. The only draw backs from our perspective were the small garden (boys are into footie) and the lack of local supermarket. The community shop (open 10-4) is great for essentials, but we struggled to find somewhere to get other supplies resulting in pub teas (not really a hardship!). I wouldn’t recommend for under 5s sleeping on top floor, just because of the steep staircase to 2nd floor, but there is plenty of alternative accommodation for them! Parking was easy in lay-bys.
