Gargrave is the largest village in the Craven District, and is situated 4 miles north west of the market town of Skipton on the A65 roughly 7 miles from Malham. Gargrave is a popular, picturesque village sitting on the River Aire and the Leeds Liverpool Canal, it is lucky enough to boast 5 village greens, beautiful Yorkshire stone buildings and a fantastic Ice Cream Parlour.

Pennine Way
The famous 270 mile Pennine Way passes through the centre of Gargrave. Gargrave is popular place to stop and refresh before the walkers embark on more isolated countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The village pub the Masons Arms is a popular local’s pub but also offers a very warm welcome to tourists in the area. It is a very traditional Yorkshire Pub with real ales, open fires and a very tasty menu of home cooked food.
If you are after great value, then it is worth checking out the Anchor Inn Brewery Fayre. The pub is modern and very family friendly you can entertain children in the play zone.
There is also a church opposite the Masons Arms, a small village shop and the famous and popular Dalesman Café – a favourite amongst cyclists.
