Location

Reeth

The history of Reeth dates way back to the 18th Century, where it used to be the capital of the lead mining industry and a local centre for hand knitting, with a population of 1,460. However, the area has evolved into the centre of the beautiful farming community that we see today. At the heart of Reeth is a triangular green, surrounded by the local community, pubs, teas rooms, restaurant and gift shops. Beyond the immediate surrounds the village is overlooked by the stunning fells of Fremington Edge and Calver Hill which we can guarantee will provide a stunning backdrop to your visit. ...

Low Row

The Coast to Coast walk passes very close by the village but for those that are not so keen on such a challenge, there are many less strenuous walks in the area. For example, there is a beautiful walk that takes you nearly all the way to Grinton on the banks of the River Swale at the foot of the valley. Whilst you stroll along the river bank you can take in the stunning views of the rolling hills either side of you, which is stunning on a summers day! ...

Lovely cottage all round. very cosy in the winter with the fire lit. Comms with Hannah prior to the stay were excellent, as was the warm welcome extended to us by Sarah on arrival ????

  4. Jeremy

Beautifully presented cottage in a great location in the village of Reeth. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and would definitely book again. Thank you.

  5. Rachel

The cottage was perfect, having everything we needed. Super clean, comfy bed, lovely enclosed garden (perfect for the pups) and the added bonus of the little sun lounge, which we spent most of our time in. In the centre of lovely Reeth, with several pubs to frequent and a great PO/corner shop which has everything you might need. Will come again!

  6. Hamish

A cosy cottage in a great location in the centre of Reeth. Close to pubs, cafes, bakery and village shop/Post Office. The cottage is very well appointed with a very easy to use wood burner and walks by the river or further afield over the moors are on the doorstep. Parking on the village green was very easy.

  11. Simon

Had a lovely stay with our dog at Sarah’s place in Reeth. It is a beautiful house, full of character, furnished to a very high spec and perfectly located for access to this part of the Yorkshire Dales. Some great walks on the doorstep and a choice of pubs within two minutes serving good food. Thoroughly recommend.

  12. Vic

The house is in a very accessible and easy to find pet of Reeth. Location is great for heading out for walks or to the cafe/pub etc. although there were only 2 of us there was an additional single room and so 3 people could easily be accommodated here. Well-stocked kitchen and bread and milk left (thank you Hannah). Very little to complain about regarding the house itself which is a lovely place to stay in Reeth. My only observation would be the check in and out times (5pm and 10am respectively). Although we asked to check in at 4pm which was ok, I don’t think these times compare well with hotels. I j set stand that there is a need to clean and turn the accommodation around but an earlier check in and slightly later check out time would be a good improvement for future guests who will no doubt enjoy a very nice stay.

  13. Jack

We had a fantastic stay at your perfect country cottage. Will definitely be back. Thank you again.

  18. Patricia

A true gem of a cottage. Filled with character and warmth. A perfect place to spend Christmas with beautiful surroundings. The light burner was very appreciated and beautiful local walks. My dog was in heaven. Highly recommend!

This cottage was a great find! We were happy to find such a perfect dog friendly place. Sarah has decorated the place with lots of taste and colorful details. We felt very welcome! From fresh bread to wood to light for cozy nights 🙂 The location is perfect for lots of walks and Reeth itself is also very nice.
