What stood out for use was the attention to detail and care with almost all aspects of the cottage and the very clear lack of penny-pinching, well done! Comfortable and clean, thanks for the welcome pack, always appreciated and well chosen.
Lovely place to stay with good local walks from the front door, will be back!

Seamless communications prior to arrival: thrilled with quality of the cottage interior/ garden space and seating area. Very full welcome basket including all sorts of local treats plus staples in the fridge which is very considerate. Good eco considerations too. Location is perfect ; within walking distance of great coffee / food at Dales bike centre or local Inns but so quiet and nicely away from any hustle and bustle. Acceptable walks too Definitely will be back.

The cottage was in an ideal position to explore Swaledale and Arkengarthdale. We were blessed with beautiful fresh , blue-skied ( although cold!!) days, which showed the sales off to their best. A bonus was the Dales Bike Centre across the road, with its scrumptious cakes and coffee. Hannah was super-responsive when we had problems with the en-suite shower and toilet seat

We had a wonderful week away. The house was beautiful, spotless and very well equipped. The area is stunning – a little remote but was central to all the places we wanted to visit. The cafe across the road was a bonus – delicious food and divine cakes! Lots of lovely places to visit and plenty of great walks. Would highly recommend this cottage for some R&R in the Yorkshire Dales!

The property was in a delightful location with good views of the local area. It was clean and we especially enjoyed the wood burner. The hamper of goodies provided for us on arrival was excellent and a nice touch. Would highly recommend this cottage. We were fortunate with good weather as well which enabled us to explore the Dales.

Excellent cottage across the road from the Dales Bike Centre which also has an excellent cafe! Great rides from the door and a secure bike store. Cottage was very well equipped and there was a nice welcome pack on arrival. Everything was spotlessly clean and we would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

We were looking for a house to relax and get away from the hectic months we’d had. The house, beautiful scenery and local villages with pubs and a few shops meant it was perfect. We hired bicycles and followed the Swalesdale Trail, walked locally and further afield and visited Barnards Castle. As soon as we arrived we felt relaxed and our minds took a well earned rest. It is the first time we have used Airbnb, it worked very well. All the information we required was received beforehand and within the house the book covered all we needed and Hannah was in contact if required. Thank you, we would be happy to revisit.
Jon –
Perfect place to stay. Would definitely return again

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at AD Barn and couldn’t have wished for more from this beautiful property. The cottage itself was incredibly homely and cosy, whilst also spacious. It was perfectly clean, with pristine bedding and towels. We had everything we needed for our 5 night stay; a fully equipped kitchen, logs for the fire, and some lovely food and drink supplies kindly left for us. The surrounding area is beautiful, with many local spots walkable and accessible. We are already hoping to return to AD Barn and would certainly recommend it to others considering staying there. Many thanks to Hannah for great hosting, she was proactive, friendly and helpful throughout.
