Greystones Cottage is a beautiful, stone, barn conversion which dates back to the 18th Century and has been sympathetically restored into what is now a wonderful dales holiday cottage. Greystones is situated in the peaceful hamlet of Simonstone, two miles from the bustling market town of Hawes in upper Wensleydale in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

This welcoming dales holiday cottage unusually offers reversed accommodation with the two bedrooms and bathroom on the ground level and the living room and kitchen/diner on the first floor. Much of which has been carefully refurbished to a high standard by the current owner, yet still retains the original Yorkshire Dales charm. Refurbishments include a traditional shaker style kitchen which features a dishwasher, washer/dryer and fridge freezer. Greystones also benefits from gas central heating throughout with an immersion heater for additional hot water if required.

The ground floor offers a large entrance porch – perfect for storing muddy boots and wet clothes – and a hall way. To the right of the hall way is a good size double bedroom with a king size bed. To the left is a single bedroom, with a single stow away bed should additional sleeping be required. The family bathroom with shower over bath is also located on the ground floor.

Stairs lead you up to the first floor and immediately into the cosy living room with gas coal effect fire and seating for up to five people with a sofa bed. From the living room there are fantastic views from the duel aspect windows across to Stags Fell and Shaw Gill Wood. The kitchen/diner is accessed from the rear of the living room. The kitchen is very well equipped with plenty of storage and work surfaces to whip up some culinary delights. Alternatively, have a night off from cooking and make the most of Simonstone Hall, which is minutes away. Or, head to Hawes, only two miles from Greystones and with many eating establishments to choose from such as traditional Yorkshire Dales pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and the Wensleydale Cheese Café.

This dales holiday cottage also benefits from an outdoor patio area with garden furniture with great views of Wensleydale. There is also off road, private parking for two cars.

Greystones Cottages is ideally positioned for the outdoor enthusiast being central to most activities right at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. For those wishing to explore by foot or by bike, the Pennine Way passes through Hawes and the Herriot Way is also close by. There are also some fantastic walks from the doorstep taking in some of the local woodland or across the numerous fells in the area and many bridleways.

To ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible kitchen linen, towels and bed linen are both provided. Electricity, gas central heating are also included in the rental price.
