Amazing stay at Ivy cottage! We had a lovely few days stay with local walks, and came back to the wood burning stove to stay cosy. Place accurately described and lots of thought gone into the amenities so it feels like a home from home.

Ivy Cottage was just what we wanted for our break. It was in the middle of the countryside, with a village pub within walking distance, which also did amazing food. The location was great for visiting the different areas of Yorkshire. The cottage was very cosy and relaxing, especially sitting in the sun in the little court yard.

  19. Phoebe

We absolutely lived our stay here! The cottage is absolutely beautiful and in such a gorgeous location. We spent our first night in Reeth at the fireworks displays, which ide highly recommend if you’re there for NYE or next bonfire night. There are multiple walks right on the doorstep and the pub (CB) serves amazing food. A truly wonderful time away. We will definitely come again

  20. Isobella

  21. Susan

Julie’s cottage was warm and cozy with plenty of hot water. It has everything that you need for a week’s holiday. The welcome basket of bread, eggs, butter, jam and chocolates was a lovely bonus. The location is perfect and you wake up to a stunning view out of the bedroom window. The parking spot is incredibly close by and felt very safe. Everyone we met was so friendly including Julie who owns the cottage with Liz. Our only regret is that we didn’t book a longer stay and we hope to come back as there is so much to do. Julie was very helpful and always responded immediately.

  22. Elle

  27. Robert

Lovely place to stay , walks from the door. A National treasure running the pub!! Cosy and property well finished .

  28. Chris

Fabulous cottage in a lovely quiet village. Small country pub just a few yards away. Limited parking spaces in the village, but the public car park a few yards away has plenty of spaces. I would recomend contacting the host for entry and key details before arriving in the area because the limited phone signal makes it very difficult once you reach the village.

  29. Emily

We had a really great few days in this gorgeous cottage. Perfect little get away for walking and exploring the dales.

  30. Ella

Amazing cottage in a beautiful location, perfect for couples. The bed is so comfy, everything was spotless when we arrived and the added extras (bread, eggs, chocolates etc) were a lovely touch. We had a meal at the CB Inn which was great & just a short walk away and the Red Lion is perfect for a drink after a day out. There are plenty of walks nearby and you can drive to the lakes in just over an hour. Only slight inconvenience is that there are no shops in walking distance.

  31. Phil

Ivy cottage was a wonderfully cosy escape, nestled in the beautifully unspoilt village of Langthwaite in Arkengarthdale, the northernmost Yorkshire Dale. We had a relaxing few days with a mix of indoor and outdoor, out of range for peace and quiet but close enough to the vibrant village of Reeth and the welcoming CB Inn a short half mile up the road. The cottage was warm, surprisingly spacious and had good facilities for our stay. There was a small hamper of delicious bread from a local bakery with jam, two artisan chocolates and a pint of milk in the fridge, and also a voucher for a complimentary drink just a stones throw away at the delightful Red Lion Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Ivy Cottage.

  32. Thomas

Amazing place! super clean and had everything you need. Was very cosy. will be back!

  33. Christine

Lovely comfortable cottage in a beautiful quiet part of the dales. Communication from Julie is very good. Very comfortable bed. The kitchen is well equipped and we had everything we needed for our short stay. Cooking is on an electric aga so takes longer than the average oven or hob to heat up but all instructions are provided and it worked perfectly fine for us. Do heed the warnings re low doorways .Although the weather wasn’t great we enjoyed being able to go walking straight out of the door up the hill behind the village to Booze and beyond. There is also a pretty walk around Reeth and Grinton just 3 miles or so up the road. The local shop in Reeth had enough for us to make an evening meal when we hadn’t enough time to go shopping further afield. Julie left us some welcome local treats and a complimentary drink voucher for the Red Lion Inn in the village, which has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed an excellent meal at the CB Inn. Parking in local car park worked OK.

  34. Michael

A lovely cosy cottage in beautiful surroundings. We appreciated the welcome pack and the timely communication from the owner.

  35. Alison

Stunning. Cosy, romantic, well equipped cottage. Beautiful surroundings and good communication with the owner. Will be rebooking for sure.

  36. Jack

Idyllic cottage was warm and comfortable. Hannahs welcome book of recommendations was fantastic for those who are unsure of where to eat or what to visit.

  37. Bill

Beautiful cottage, exquisite village and surrounding area…we loved it !!

  38. Nataly

Wonderful place to stay in, quiet with wonderful views. Hannah and Julie were super proactive helping us when we needed it, always checking in on us, we will definitely be back!

  39. Neil

Ivy cottage is a cozy little cottage in one of the most beautiful parts of Yorkshire. There is a wealth of information in a folder for renters to read, it was extremely helpful for local information and for how everything works at the cottage. Great facilities at the cottage and everything you need is there. The basket of logs was a lovely touch too, thank you Hannah. We will definitely be back soon

  40. Jamie

Absolutely wonderful cottage in a beautiful part of Yorkshire. Perfect for a long weekend with all that you want on your doorstop.

  41. Tim

A wonderful stay at Ivy Cottage. The setting was delightful and the Cottage was so homely and comfortable. Responsive hosts and tasteful touches throughout. We would highly recommend Ivy Cottage and we are already planning our return visit!

  42. Rachel

We had a little trouble locating the cottage when we arrived as it is quite tucked away- however that is part of it’s charm! There was a welcome basket of goodies waiting for us and some milk and eggs in the fridge- all very much appreciated. Beautiful cosy cottage with log burner and the comfiest bed ever. Great location and helpful and responsive hosts- would recommend.

  43. Pat

A Fantastic place to stay, right in the middle of Langthwaite. Excellent facilities and loads of space as well as some of the country’s best hiking on the doorstep.

  44. Robert

This cottage is in a wonderful location and is super cozy and comfortable. Its well equipped, a real home from home. We had lovely walks through stunning countryside directly from the cottage, there is also loads of places of interest just a short drive away. Our hosts were extremely helpful and even went to the trouble of getting a few vegan treats for us on our arrival, which was really appreciated. This was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in.
