Aye Gill Pike – 360 views of the Southern Fells

Aye Gill Pike is a Marylynn in the Yorkshire Dales Southern Fells. Although it doesn’t conform to the usual image of a rugged pike that would spring to mind, neither does it quite sit in the category of the Dales mountains with a height of 556 metres (1,824 ft). It is still worth the hike as from the top you are surrounded by 360-degree views of higher fells such as Great Coum and Whernside and the Howgills.

The Dales Festival of Food and Drink returns in 2013, located on the outskirts of Leyburn on the A684. It’s always well signposted and very easy to find and has plenty of free parking if required. This year it is being held on the May bank holiday weekend and is expected to be as bustling as ever.

At the Dales Bike Centre you can hire a bike from a range of 30 Trek bikes, all of which are of the highest quality, regularly safety checked and made sparkling clean after every outing. Bike hire is offered by the full day or half day, or if you wish to hire a bike for longer a discounted rate is offered. Included in your bike hire is a helmet, pump, spares pack and a map to help you find your way around the local dales.
